What has been installed and where?

The installation package installs several files on the computer. There is no script available to remove what has been installed.

Installation Package

The installation package installs the following applications and files:

  • The rCoach One application is installed in the Applications directory.
  • The Document Type Definition (DTD), named rCoach.dtd, is installed in the /Library/Slingblade/rCoach directory. All Requirements Specifications will be validated against the DTD. Do not change the DTD, or the application may stop working or behave in an unpredictable way.

License

The license file, which is provided separately, can be located anywhere. A suitable directory is the local Application Support directory. To store the license file here, open Finder and click Go > Go to Folder… and type:

~/Library/Application Support/rCoach One/

Install the file and drag it to the rCoach One License Window. rCoach One will remember the path.

Data Repository

A database file with the name rcoach One.rcoachdb is created the first time the application is started. The file is created in the directory:

~/Library/Application Support/rCoach One/

The database file contains all database tables used by rCoach One. The location of the file and the filename must not be changed, or rCoach One will create a new database file with the right name. Different database files can be created for backup purposes by renaming them in the Finder, although this is not supported by the application.

The installation package can be safely executed to re-install the application without affecting the Data Repository or its contents.
